The sports court of the German Football Association (DFB) has handed Union captain Christopher Trimmel a two-match ban after his red card on Sunday.
The 36-year-old was sent off in the 73rd minute of the away match at RasenBallsport Leipzig after a foul on opponent David Raum. The Leipzig midfielder was able to continue playing.
1. FC Union Berlin and Christopher Trimmel have agreed to the decision, which is therefore legally binding.
