1. FC Union Berlin’s Lennart Moser will join Berkan Taz at fourth-tier Energie Cottbus on a loan deal until the end of the 2019/20 league season.
The 19-year-old was part of last season’s group of first-team goalkeepers, competing with number one Rafal Gikiewicz and Jakob Busk.
“I’m looking forward to the opportunity of gaining first-team experience in Cottbus. For a young player like me, it’s incredibly important to be on the pitch a lot in order to develop. After some discussions with the club, I came to the conclusion that Energe Cottbus was the right next step for me in my career,” said academy graduate Moser.
“Lennart Moser is a very talented goalkeeper. It’s important to us that he gets the chance to consistently develop. In Cottbus, he will have ample opportunity to do so, so we’re sure the loan is the right step for Lennart,” added Oliver Ruhnert, 1. FC Union Berlin’s Director of Professional Football.
