DFL confirm schedule for matchdays 3-8

The German Football League (DFL) have confirmed the schedules for matchdays 3-8 for the 2018/19 2.Bundesliga season.

1. FC Union Berlin kick off the season on matchdays 1 & 2 against Erzgebirge Aue (Sun. August 5, 15:30) and 1. FC Köln (Mon. August 13, 20:30). Ticket information is now available for the first home and away match of the campaign.

Urs Fischer's side return to the Stadion An der Alten Försterei on Sunday August 26 to take on FC St Pauli with kick off scheduled for 13:30. 

An away trip will follow for the Köpenick club on Sunday September 2 at 13:30 against SV Sandhausen at the Hartwald-Stadion.

MSV Duisburg are our first Friday night opponents in the 2.Bundesliga with the Zebras coming to the Alte Försterei on Friday September 14 at 18:30.

Union are back on the road, this time to one of our top away fixtures of the campaign against Arminia Bielefeld on Saturday September 22 with a 13:00 kick off.

On the first 'Englische Woche' (English Week) of the campaign, Union Berlin are at home against last season's surprise-package Holstein Kiel on Tuesday September 25 at 18:30.

This batch of confirmed fixtures is rounded off with a Monday night game at FC Ingolstadt on October 1 at 20:30 at the Audi-Sportpark.
