Union concludes training camp at home ground

Ten intensive days have passed for the men’s team of 1. FC Union Berlin. With today’s non-public session in the morning, the summer training camp at the adidas Home Ground in Herzogenaurach came to an end. After lunch, the delegation began their journey home by train via Nürnberg.

The training camp was marked by hard work on and off the pitch, as the Home Ground not only provided space for intensive sessions but also for team bonding. Between tactical discussions, individual talks, and shared time off the pitch, it became clear how much the team structure has already grown. New players quickly found their place, veterans took the lead – the days at the Home Ground were not just a sporting test but also a test of interpersonal relations.

Quote of the Day: "The conditions here were excellent. The premises, the short distances, the professional facilities, the selection and quality of the food: hard to beat. Even though we certainly hoped for more in the Friendlies, we were able to work very focused and create important foundations for the coming weeks. I was particularly pleased with the support from the traveling fans during the games and at the training ground." – Horst Heldt, Managing Director Professional Football Men of 1. FC Union Berlin

The Union professionals do not have much time to settle in: Already tomorrow, Saturday, the next tough test is on the agenda – at 15:30, Union will host the Spanish top-flight team RCD Espanyol Barcelona at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei. In ticket areas 1-3, day ticket counters will also open with the stadium doors at 13:30. Tickets are still available online as well as in all stationary merchandise stores.

And already two and a half hours earlier, at 13:00, the women’s team of 1. FC Union Berlin will play their first Friendly of the season – the match will be covered in the club's live ticker.
