The days in Austria were entirely focused on preparing for the new season. In addition to numerous training sessions, head coach Mauro Lustrinelli used the time to refine processes on and off the pitch. At the same time, the training camp offered new signings and youth players the opportunity to integrate even more closely into the team. The Eisernen were also supported by many traveling Unioner fans, who accompanied the public sessions, the fan meeting, as well as the friendly victory against Limassol (3-2). 

"Even though we have had a successful week in Austria, it is always nice to be back home. I think we were able to make optimal use of the days and training sessions and also underscored that with the win in the friendly yesterday. With the return to Berlin, the training camp ends, but the preparation is only just entering the final phase. After a free Tuesday, the team resumes work at the training ground at the Alte Försterei on Wednesday, 12.08.2026 at 11:00 with a public training session. The next highlight follows on Saturday, 15.08.2026, at 15:30: At the official season opening in the Stadion An der Alten Försterei, Union hosts the English club Ipswich Town.
