The women's team of 1. FC Union Berlin has returned to Berlin-Köpenick after a four-day short training camp in Bad Saarow.

The Unionerinnen are staying at the Hotel Esplanade Resort & Spa, which is probably familiar to most Union players as the Bundesliga team has already spent parts of its preparation there on several occasions.

1. FC Union Berlin has signed midfielder Eleni Markou. The 29-year-old most recently played for FC Basel and has been a fixture in the Greek national team for several years.

The women's team of 1. FC Union Berlin have beaten VfL Wolfsburg II 1:0 in the first test match of the summer preparations. The goal of the day was scored by Korina Janez in the 60th minute.

The German Football Association announced the fixtures for the Women's 2. Bundesliga season today, Friday 19 July 2024. Union will open the 2024/25 season with a home match against Hamburger SV at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei on Saturday, 24 August 2024. Kick-off will be at 13.00.

Next Sunday, 21 July, the professional women's team of 1. FC Union Berlin will play its first friendly of the new 2024/25 season against VfL Wolfsburg II. The match will kick off at 14.00 at the Fritz-Lesch-Sportplatz in Dörpfeldstraße.
