Jordan Siebatcheu Moves to Stade de Reims

Jordan Siebatcheu is leaving the men's team of 1. FC Union Berlin and joining Stade de Reims, currently thirteenth in Ligue 1.

Part of the UEFA Champions League qualifying team

In his debut season in the German top flight in 2022/23, Jordan quickly showed why Union had signed him. His Three goals and two assists in his first six appearances helped them get off to an impressive start to the season and ultimately helped them finish fourth, and with it qualify for the UEFA Champions League.

After a loan spell with Borussia Mönchengladbach in the 2023/24 season, the now 28-year-old returned to Köpenick last summer and, including two DFB Pokal matches, has played in 20 further games.

In total, the nine-time US international made 64 appearances for Union, scoring five goals and providing four assists; he will now once again wear the colours of the club where he began his football career and made his Ligue 1 debut in 2015.

Views on the transfer

“I will never forget my time at Union,” said Jordan on his move back to Reims. “I made a lot of new friends and what we achieved together is still incredible. Now I'm looking forward to returning to France and I would like to thank 1. FC Union Berlin, all those in charge and especially the fans for always believing in me.”

“Jordan's early days here at Union were very impressive and we would all have liked him to continue like that. Nevertheless, he never gave up, always believed in himself and always put himself at the service of the team. Of course, we wish Jordan all the best for the future and thank him for his commitment,” said Horst Heldt, director of men's professional football at 1. FC Union Berlin.
