In 1949, Adi Dassler laid the foundation with the establishment of the "Adi Dassler adidas Sportschuhfabrik" in the small German city called Herzogenaurach in Mittelfranken. With this, he founded his mission to offer every athlete the best possible product for his/her sport. On the long road from the laundry room of our company founder’s mother to today’s global corporation, we have produced numerous innovations: from the extra light soccer shoes with replaceable screw studs for the "Wunder von Bern", to the legendary black and white Telstart soccer ball to the Superstar shoes that are popular in the hip-hop scene. Today, our trademark of the three stripes is one of the most famous icons in the sports industry and known far beyond the borders of Germany and Europe.
