The German Football League (DFL) announced the fixture list for the upcoming 2024/25 Bundesliga season today, Thursday, 4 July 2024. 1. FC Union Berlin will kick off the new season, playing away at 1. FSV Mainz 05.

After the opener, the team will then host Bundesliga newcomers FC St. Pauli in their first home match of the season. This is followed by an international break before the team from Berlin-Köpenick travel to play Rasenballsport Leipzig. The final game of the season will be at FC Augsburg.

"We are looking forward to the new season and have an intensive opening programme with our first three opponents,” said Horst Heldt, Union’s director of men’s professional football. “We want to make the Bundesliga start as successful as possible and are particularly looking forward to the first home game."
