The draw to determine the eight ties was made by Rachel Rinats, former Swiss national player and Sky expert, and two-time European champion and DFB vice president for equality and diversity, Célia Šašić.

“We face an opponent in HSV that challenged us greatly last season," said Union's director of women's professional football, Jennifer Zietz. "We are looking forward to an intense Cup fight and want to secure our place in the quarter-finals. What’s particularly exciting is that we will meet Hamburg in the league the weekend before. The atmosphere at the Volksparkstadion is always special, and we already know that we can count on the strong support of our fans there as well.”

The DFB Pokal round of 16 will take place from 31 October to 02 November; the exact timings are yet to be determined.
