Union flew out of the traps, and put Turbine under pressure early. After initial approaches down the flanks, Marie-Louise Eta's team took the lead in the eighth minute when Lina Hausicke played a through ball to Lea Aseko, who crashed the ball into the top right corner.

Union remained in control throughout. Dina Orschmann scored to make it 2-0  in the 14th minute, shooting precisely inside the back post, after a fine piece of build up play from Sophie Weidauer. Just three minutes later, Weidauer assisted again, finding Nele Bauereisen, who slotted in Union's third.

After multiple substitutions at the break, and the onset of rain, the second half was significantly calmer. The guests' best opportunity came after just over an hour as Johanna Bobbe's shot flew just wide. At the other end, Aseko tested the substituted Potsdam goalkeeper Juliane Schmid, but was denied.

Weidauer narrowly missed scoring union's fourth after her beautiful touch to bring down a high ball. However, it eventually came shortly before the end. Judit Pujols was played free on the left, crossing to the back post, where Anna Weiß wrapped things up with three minutes to spare.

“It was a very good game from us. We fought for every ball and had a lot of control over the game overall. I had a lot of fun. Of course, I am extremely happy that I could score my first goal for the professionals today. The team really motivated me before the game,” said striker Lea Aseko after the match.

Judith Steinert added: "In the first half, we made it very clear. In the second half, the pace dropped a bit, but we still scored a goal and can be satisfied in the end."

“I am very satisfied. From the beginning, we were very composed and dominant in ball possession. In addition, we were able to score some beautiful goals. In the second half, the game got a bit wilder, but in the end, we still defended well and were able to distribute a lot of playing time. Therefore, it was ultimately a very successful Friendly,” said head coach Marie-Louise Eta.
