After an early breakfast, Urs Fischer's first-team squad gathered out on the sun-soaked training pitches in Barsinghausen at 10am. The focus early on was playing under pressure with the coaching staff using a number of different drills to put the players through their paces. These pressing and control drills morphed into a 10-v-10 game to round off the morning session.
The physio team took care of any injuries or knocks at lunchtime ahead of the second part of today's training plan.
The team was led through a series of Rondo (keep possession) drills to kick-off the afternoon's work with the focus on transition moments and switching the play.
Wednesday will see the squad undertake another day of double sessions.
