Simon Hedlund has joined Danish giants Brondby IF after two-and-a-half years at 1. FC Union Berlin.
The 25-year-old did not travel to Union's training camp in Spain and will complete his move to Denmark, subject to a medical. Hedlund featured 75 times for the Köpenick club, scoring 11 goals and assisting five.
"It was Simon Hedlund's wish to change club this winter. It's a shame to leave in football terms, because Simon has a lot of quality at his disposal. We wish him all the best for the future," said Oliver Ruhnert, Union's Managing Director for Professional Football.
The transfer fee between the clubs will remain undisclosed.
