WISAG will be supporting 1. FC Union Berlin’s women’s first team for the rest of the season as the main sponsor. 

As one of the leading service providers for real estate, industry and airports, WISAG have been supporting Union for a long time already as a reliable partner in stadium security, cleaning and technology, as well as a premium sponsor and, since this season, also as a premium partner of the women's team.

“We are delighted that WISAG are significantly expanding their commitment again this season,” said Bernd von Geldern, 1. FC Union Berlin’s chief commercial officer. “This decision is not only a renewed confirmation of our proven partnership, but also an important building block for the further strengthening of women's professional football at our club.”

“Union are now setting standards in the equal presentation of women and men in professional football. We are happy to support this approach and are convinced that it will also lead to Union’s women's team joining the Bundesliga,” explained Andreas Burmeister, Managing Director of WISAG Sicherheit & Service and Regional Manager for Berlin. WISAG will initially take over as main sponsor of the women's team until the end of the 2024-25 season.

The shirts with the WISAG logo will be worn for the first time on Saturday when Union’s women play away in Hamburg, marking the beginning of the second half of the 2. Bundesliga season.
