Union to host 2,000 supporters on Saturday

1. FC Union Berlin will host RB Leipzig on Saturday May 22 at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei and have been granted permission to play in front of 2,000 supporters. The club's application to the Berlin Senate for Internal Affairs and Sport was approved on Monday afternoon.

The comprehensive health and safety plan of 1. FC Union Berlin provides for mandatory testing for all visitors to the stadium. Exempt from the testing obligation are, in accordance with the current SARS-CoV-2 Infection Protection Measures Regulations of the State of Berlin, fully vaccinated or recovered from COVID-19.

Permission to hold the home game with spectators is subject to the pandemic situation. The risk situation will be continuously reviewed and reassessed.

Tickets for Saturday will be allocated in a lottery, which has already started among club members who have a season ticket for season 2020/21.

If there is no short-term cancellation to the pilot project, remaining tickets will be made available no later than Friday May 21. Union will communicate this information separately.
