New mask rules for Stadion An der Alten Försterei

This Saturday's Bundesliga clash with SC Freiburg at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei will go ahead with 5,000 people in attendance.

However, 1. FC Union Berlin's updated health and safety measures, which were presented to the health authorities of Treptow-Köpenick, make it obligatory to wear masks on match day. For previous matches, fans have been able to remove their mouth & nose coverings while seated or in their standing area, but it is now mandatory to wear a face mask there as well.

With these measures in place, Union are following the urgent health recommendation by the Berlin Senate on Tuesday to also wear a mouth & nose covering in public places.

In accordance with Berlin's Infection Protection Regulations, all visitors are asked to refrain from chanting and singing at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei. The current health and safety measures are summarised here.
