Preparation for the Bundesliga Begins
Union's Women's Summer Schedule
Following promotion to the Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga, the women’s team of 1. FC Union Berlin will begin their preparations for the new season in July. Along with numerous friendlies, a summer training camp is also on the agenda.
Start of Training, Friendlies, Training camp
After a well-earned two-month break, the women’s team of 1. FC Union Berlin will return to training on Monday, 21.07.2025, following the usual sports medical examinations and tests. Eight days after the first team training, the first friendly will take place. Additionally, another friendly is scheduled for Saturday, 02.08.2025. The opponent for the friendly is, as in the past two years, Pogoń Szczecin.
Three days later, the team, led by head coach Ailien Poese, will travel to a summer training camp in Klosterpforte in East Westphalia. On the last day of the training camp, FCU will play a friendly against VfL Wolfsburg.
On the weekend of 16 and 17.08., another preparation match will take place before the team can enjoy a few more days off. The final game before the start of the competitive season will be either on Saturday, 30.08.2025, or Sunday, 31.08.2025.
One week later, the Union players will face their first game in the Bundesliga, their debut in the German top flight. The first round of the DFB Pokal is scheduled around the weekend of 27.09.2025.
