Union’s Women Kick off the new Season

Today, Wednesday, the women's team of 1. FC Union Berlin kicked off the 2024/25 second division season in sweltering heat with their first, first-team training session.

Short summer break

The four internationals Athanasia Moraitou, Korina Janez, Fatma Sakar and Naika Reissner were not yet involved, nor was Maria Cristina Lange who wasn’t able to take part as she is currently in rehab following her knee injury.

Just 24 days after their promotion to the 2. Bundesliga, Union were back on the pitch having undergone a series of sports and medical examinations at the Charité hospital over the past two days.
