The men's professional team of 1. FC Union Berlin will face Eintracht Frankfurt at home on the first matchday of the 2026/27 Bundesliga season.  

The first weeks will present some immediate, significant challenges. After Eintracht, come matches against Bayer 04 Leverkusen (away) and FC Schalke 04 (at home), before the trick trip to FC Bayern München. The last matchday will see Union play at home against Borussia Mönchengladbach.  

“The schedule creates excitement and many discussions every year," said Union's director of men's professional football, Horst Heldt on the release of the fixtures. "Regardless of who we face first, we want to be fully engaged from the start. The Bundesliga is extremely balanced, so it’s important to find our rhythm quickly and take as many points as possible. We're looking forward to the season and the support of the Unioner at home and away.”
