Austria celebrate important victory against Slovenia

Thanks to a 1-0 victory against Slovenia, the Austrian national team secured third place in Group 4 of League A, thus preventing Nations League relegation. Eileen Campbell was on the pitch for 84 minutes during the win, while Naika Reissner did not play. Although Austria lost the final group match in Norway, 2-1, Slovenia's simultaneous defeat to the German national team meant that the Austrians finished the group stage in third place. The newly signed Union player Lisanne Gräwe played the full 90 minutes. Reissner also remained unused in Oslo, while Campbell was substituted after 82 minutes.

In the first round of the Play-offs, Austria will face a group winner or one of the two best second-placed teams from League C (Path 1) in October. The draw will take place on 24.06.2026.
