PSG's women's side have been a continuous part of the Division 1 Féminine since 2001, the highest French league. The greatest success in the club's history came in the 2020/21 season when they secured the French championship for the first time, breaking the years of dominance by Olympique Lyon.

They have cemented this, celebrating several successes in the national cup competition, winning the Coupe de France Féminine in the 2009/10, 2017/18, 2021/22 seasons and most recently in 2023/24. They regularly participate in the UEFA Women's Champions League and have been among the elite in women's football for years. Soon, they will play in the qualification for the European championship against Union's league rivals Eintracht Frankfurt.

In their current pre-season, the Parisians played a friendly against Brighton & Hove Albion. This ended in a 1-1 draw.

In the last Friendly of the summer, Union's coaching team will have to do without Anna Aehling, Hannah Eurlings, Korina Janež, Mariann Noack, Dina Orschmann, and Tanja Pawollek.

“We are looking forward to the next international opponent and the match against Paris. For us, it will be another important test to further solidify our processes and take the next step in development, before we start the Bundesliga season next week,” said head coach Marie-Louise Eta before the match.

The match will take place on the campus grounds of PSG behind closed doors.
