The reactions to the match
“Friendlies such as these put us on a good path into the season. A competition always challenges us more than what is the case in training. Therefore, such games are important.”
“It was a very nice first week for me in Berlin. The team welcomed me and the two friendlies were also fun. Scoring so many goals was very positive. I hope we can continue that in the upcoming games.”
“We organized the friendly today for a good cause. Nevertheless, it was a good training session for us. Despite the large difference, I liked the mentality in our team. We maintained focus, trained our offensive play, and worked on our automatism.”
Union fans will have further opportunities to see their team over the coming days. Kicking off on Tuesday, 07.07.2026, at 11:00, there will be a public training session. Following that, two more friendlies await. On Thursday, Union will visit Chemnitzer FC, and on Sunday, they will travel to play FC Carl Zeiss Jena.
