Kicking off 2025/26 at Home:

Union to Start the Season Against Stuttgart

The German Football League (DFL) today announced the schedule for the upcoming 2025/26 men’s Bundesliga season. 1. FC Union Berlin will start off with a home game against DFB Pokal winners VfB Stuttgart at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei.

Head coach Steffen Baumgart's team will then travel to Dortmund for their first away game. After the subsequent international break, the second home game in Köpenick will be against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. Union will play the last game of the season at home when they will face FC Augsburg, the same end-of-season opponents as in 2024/25.

"There is a lot of anticipation for the new season,” said Union’s director of men’s professional football, Horst Heldt on the announcement of the fixture list. “We are expecting a challenging start with our first three opponents. Our goal is to get off to as successful a start as possible in the Bundesliga – we can't wait for the first home game in particular.”

The complete fixture list is available for download here. The exact kick-off times for the first matchdays will be announced in the coming weeks.
