Two Bundesliga Teams, One Main Sponsor:

Union Kick Off the New Season With Raisin

1. FC Union Berlin and fintech company Raisin are kicking off the new season together. The Berlin-based savings and investment platform will be the main sponsor, and their logo will feature on the shirts of both of the club's Bundesliga teams.

"We founded Raisin in Berlin and developed our international business from here. We are proud to support 1. FC Union Berlin and their two professional teams as main sponsor with immediate effect. Raisin and 1. FC Union Berlin are united not only by their Berlin roots, but also by their conviction that success comes from tenacity and that true strength grows where fairness is practised. The aim of our collaboration is to be successful together and to continue to grow," explained Dr Tamaz Georgadze, CEO and co-founder of Raisin.

“I am delighted that we have been able to secure Raisin as a main sponsor who share our approach and sees itself explicitly as a partner to a club with two professional teams – men and women,” said Dirk Zingler, President of 1. FC Union Berlin. “In direct discussions, it quickly became clear that Raisin, as a Berlin-based company, are a good fit for us.”

Raisin on the chest: Union and adidas present the third kit

Summertime is always new kit time. Today, 1. FC Union Berlin’s men’s team will play their first friendly in preparation for the 2025/26 Bundesliga season and will take to the pitch with the Raisin logo on their chests for the first time.

Raisin's new logo is part of a new brand identity that is being implemented step by step. As part of this rebranding, the German name of the platform is also changing from ‘Weltsparen’ to ‘Raisin’. This means that the company will now operate in all their ten markets under the same name and with a uniform identity.

From the Copacabana to Köpenick: ‘Texas’ introduces sky blue fabric

The third kit- naturally, from Union's equipment supplier adidas - is also Union’s first new shirt to be presented this summer. Bright light blue with white accents, it brings a touch of nostalgia to the start of the new season. Between 2006 and 2008, light blue jerseys were worn by Union players in 18 games. Raisin will forego the familiar blue in their logo having it appear in white on the jerseys, a conscious commitment to Union Berlin's identity in red and white.

Bringing a dash more flare is legendary Brazilian striker Daniel Teixeira. ‘Texas’, as he was known at the Alte Försterei, scored 67 goals in 78 competitive games for Union and helped the club gain promotion twice. Now, together with some of his former teammates, he is presenting adidas' reinterpretation of a classic jersey design.

The new jersey is available now online and in all of Union’s Zeughaus stores.
