Last Friendly of Pre-Season With Introductions and Autographs
Union Host Ipswich Town FC
Following the women’s team's successful test against Inter last weekend, Union men's coach Mauro Lustrinelli will see his own side in action for a final time before the start of the competitive matches on Saturday, 15.08.2026.
Union will face the English club Ipswich Town FC, kicking off at 15:30 in the Stadion An der Alten Försterei. The stadium gates will open at 13:30.
In Ipswich, an attractive international opponent awaits Union. The English club have a long tradition and will provide a challenging final test before the first round of the DFB Pokal against Eintracht Braunschweig takes place a week later.
At finakl friendly, in front of a home crowd, Union fans will have the opportunity to get to know the team for the new Bundesliga season up close. Before kick off, the team, coaching and general staff will be presented on the pitch for the first time, while, after the final whistle, there will be a two-hour autograph session on the aldseite. In order to ensure that as many people as possible can enjoy a signed fan item, the number is limited to one item per person.

Family offer
Tickets for the dress rehearsal of the Lustrinelli team are still available for general sale online as well as at all Union ticket offices. On matchday, tickets can also be purchased at the box offices starting from the opening of the stadium. In the standing area, Union offers an attractive family deal: A ticket for one adult and one child (ages six to twelve) is already available for €20. Children under five years old enjoy free admission as toddlers.
It is expected to be loud in the away block as well, with around 800 English fans anticipated. Tickets for the away block are available here.
Construction sites and detours
The Hämmerlingstraße is open again, but the footpath to the Stadion leads not through the forest path, but along the sports hall. Please note the closure of Bahnhofstraße; pedestrians and cyclists can use the Bahnhofhalle as a diversion.
