Valentina Maceri, the former player and German youth international, drew the eight pairings alongside the DFB sports director Rudi Völler. 

“We are very pleased that we have been drawn at home. We have an opponent in Jena who have already given us a tough fight in the league. We are preparing for an intense cup tie and want to advance to the quarter-finals with our fans behind us,” said Union's director of women’s football, Jennifer Zietz, after the draw. 

The round of sixteen of the DFB Pokal will take place from 15 to 17 November, with the exact times still to be determined.
