In front of just over 5,000 supporters on a gorgeous summer's evening, this was a game that saw Union's head coach, Mauro Lustrinelli, use 22 players, many of whom were from his youth academy. It was lit up initially by Marin Ljubičić's opener, the deftest of flicked backheels, all set up by some tireless and tough work by Andrej Ilic down the left hand side.
But a successful evening was marred slightly by the sight of Andrik Markgraf hobbling off the pitch in the second half.
