International U-17s Tournament in Köpenick:
Top Teams Again to Feature at the Youngster Cup
On August 1 and 2, 2026, defending champions, 1. FC Union Berlin, will host the sixth edition of the Youngster Cup. As with every edition of the tournament, spectators can look forward to a high-class field of participants featuring international top teams.
The group stage will take place on Saturday, 1 August, at the Stadion An der Wuhlheide. The play-off matches for fifth to eighth place will be held the following day at the Trainingzentrum Oberspree on Bruno-Bürgel-Weg. On the same day, the two semi-finals, the third place play-off and the final will take place at the Stadion An der Wuhlheide. Admission to all matches is free.
The Participants
From Portugal, 2024's winners, Benfica, will travel to Berlin-Köpenick. Italy is represented by the B junior team of Juventus, while Denmark is once again participating in the tournament with FC Kopenhagen.
Two German youth teams will be in action, Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt. From England come Manchester City, while FC Basel from Switzerland joins them. The tournament is completed by the hosts,1. FC Union Berlin's U-17s.
The Schedule
The eight teams will compete in two groups, each consisting of four teams. In Group A, the hosts face Manchester City, FC Kopenhagen, and Borussia Dortmund. In Group B, Benfica, Juventus, FC Basel, and Eintracht Frankfurt battle for a spot in the semi-finals.
The tournament will be opened with the game between Manchester City and FC Kopenhagen. The final will take place on Sunday, the 2nd of August, at 14:00.
