Contract Extension and Loan Deal
Tim Blaszczak Moves to Luckenwalde
1. FC Union Berlin have extended their contract with midfield talent Tim Blaszczak. In the next step, the 19-year-old will be loaned to the Regionalliga club FSV 63 Luckenwalde for the 2026/27 season.
The Berlin born player is to regularly gain match practice in the first team and continue his development at a high level of competion.
From the academy to the professionals
Blaszczak was born in 2007 in Berlin and moved to 1. FC Union Berlin from BFC Dynamo for the 2020/21 season. There, he developed into an important part of the youth teams.
The defensive midfielder's game is particularly characterised by his intelligence and both with and without the ball. In the first half of the DFB youth league season 2025/26, Blaszczak scored twice and provided three assists in twelve league matches. He also gained initial experience with the men's firstv team and was used in all friendlies during the current summer preparation.
With the now agreed contract extension and subsequent loan to Luckenwalde, the next step in his development follows. At Union's long-term cooperation partner, Blaszczak is to gain valuable experience in the daily routine of the Regionalliga.
