Derby Against Hertha

The U19s Cross the City

On Saturday, 13.09.2025, 1. FC Union Berlin's U19s will face Hertha BSC in the preliminary round of the DFB-Nachwuchsliga Group C. Kick off at the Stadion auf dem Wurfplatz is at 13:00.

The Opponents

The hosts are currently in good form. With four wins from five, they are in second place in Group C of the DFB-Nachwuchsliga – just a point behind the group leaders from Köpenick.

The head to head

Hertha have a far better balance in the youth derby with 16 wins, compared to Union's five, in 25 matches played between the rivals. The last encounter between the two was in the 2024 Berlin Cup final, which the Charlottenburg outfit won 5-4 on penalties. Union's last win goes back to the 22/23 season, when they won 2-1 away.

The coach's views ahead of the Match

“Anticipation for the derby is high because these are always special matches,” said Marie-Louise Eta, the U19s head coach. “What will be crucial is that we bring our game onto the pitch from the very beginning. The focus is on our performance, and we will invest everything to win the match.”
