The New Away Kit.
For many Union supporters, the home matchday experience begins the same way: leaving the streets behind and stepping into the forest. Those who arrive early can soak it all in — the rustle of leaves, gentle birdsong, the scent of fresh grass slowly blending with the smoke of the charcoal drifting from the stadium. As kick-off approaches, the buzzing of the fans grows louder, until it all melds into that familiar matchday soundtrack of nature, people, and anticipation. The Unioner's dream. It’s exactly this feeling that has inspired the new away kit for both of 1. FC Union Berlin’s professional teams: a special piece of home to take wherever we play.
Leaf by leaf, a piece of home
The design will bring the leafy canopy of the Wuhlheide's forest path to every away trip across the country. On the dark green jersey, eagle-eyed botanists will spot leaves from robinia and beech trees — classic representatives of Wuhlheide’s deciduous woodland, gathered along the walk to the stadium.
Adding to the look are subtle, monochrome details: the woven Union crest, the adidas logo, the main sponsor Raisin, and the traditional UNVEU lettering at the back of the neck.
The new away jersey is combined with dark green shorts and dark green socks. The new playing kit is now available online and in all Union's Zeughaus stores in sizes 128 - 164 for children and XS - 3XL for adults.
Premiere in the first competitive match
The new kit will make its debut in the men's DFB-Pokal match in Gütersloh on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 18:00.
