Fundraising Campaign Started:
Call for Support for Hanoun
The 1. FC Union Berlin U-15 player, Hanoun Olinga, was diagnosed with colon cancer a few weeks ago.
Hanoun, who came to Union from TeBe's U-13s, is a fighter. He already survived a severe water hemlock poisoning at the age of nine. Then at twelve, he was diagnosed with Morbus Schlatter and had to face the fear that competitive sports might be over for him at such a young age. But just three months later, he was back on the pitch and fought his way back.
Hanoun started as a center-back and has now been playing with the number nine in attack. He was filled with anticipation for the new season when the next stroke of fate struck him. He has now been in the hospital for several weeks, has already undergone major surgeries and is simultaneously at the beginning of a long-lasting chemotherapy. To support him and his family during this difficult time, so they can be there for him, a donation campaign has been launched.
1. FC Union Berlin and the foundation "UNION VEREINT. Schulter an Schulter" are financially participating in the donation campaign and are asking the Unioner to join in for support for the family.
