Kick off on July 7, first competitive match in mid-August

As in every season, following a well-deserved holida, the summer's preparations will begin this year with comprehensive sports medical examinations; the first public training follows on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. The first week is rounded off with two nearby Friendlies. On Saturday, July 12, 2025, Brandenburger SC Süd 05 will host, before one day later Union will get some more minutes in their legs against Grün-Weiss Ahrensfelde, where they will also meet a familiar face in player-coach Manuel Schmiedebach.

In the following week, the team can expect a similar plan: sessions in Köpenick and a double Friendly matchday away over the weekend, this time in Austria. On Saturday, July 19, they will face LASK in Linz, before Christopher Trimmel and Leopold Querfeld can look forward to a reunion with their former club when, on Sunday, July 20, the Unioner will play Austria's record champions, Rapid Klub in Vienna.

After this two weeks of intense preparation, the entire team will head off for a training camp. From July 23 to August 1, 2025, they will set up camp at the adidas Home Ground in Herzogenaurach and will participate once again in a Friendly on Saturday, July 26, 2025. All traveling Unioner can also look forward to a fan evening.

Two final matches will round off Steffen Baumgart's side's pre-season preparation back home at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei, with a friendly in Köpenick on Saturday, August 2. The official season opener friendly will take place a week later during the weekend of August 8 to 10.
