A Focus on More Playing Time

Helgesen has been under contract with 1. FC Union Berlin since the end of December 2025, though she remains unused during the current Bundesliga season. So far, she has however played twice for Union's U-23s since signing her contract.

The loan to Aalesunds FK is aimed at providing her with regular playing time and important experience. At the same time, her stay in Norway offers her the opportunity to continue her personal development.

At Aalesunds FK, the defender faces a new challenge at a top Norwegian club. Twice winners of the Norwegian Cup, the club fought its way back to the top flight last season after 2023's relegation. Helgesen is entering a familiar environment, having already played in the Eliteserie with Stabaek IF.
