In Union's Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga home game against RB Leipzig, Union's acting captain scored a spectacular volley in the 84th minute to bring the cores back to 2-2. The goal sparked a comeback, leading to a wonderful 3-2 win.

Now, the goal has been nominated for September's Sportschau Goal of the Month award. The other nominees include Felix Nmecha (Borussia Dortmund), Younes Derbali (Bonner SC), Julian Ulbricht (SV Waldhof Mannheim), and Robin Meißner (VfL Osnabrück).  

Several Unioner have succeeded in the renowned Sportschau voting before, but now Steuerwald aims to become the first woman from 1. FC Union Berlin to secure the title.
