Information for Visitors to the Weihnachtssingen

For more than twenty years, the Union family have gathered on the eve of Christmas for communal singing by candlelight and a festive atmosphere at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei.

On the coming Tuesday, the stadium gates will open again at 17:00 for Union's traditional Weihnachtssingen.

Schedule:

  • 17:15: Pre-program with the Eisernen Bläsern and the men's choir Eintracht Mahlsdorf

  • 19:00: Start of the Weihnachtssingen with the school choir of Emmy-Noether-Gymnasium

  • 21:00: End of the event

All guests are asked to pay attention to the following notes, to ensure a peaceful evening.

Arrival, admission, security

Timely arrival using public transport is requested, as there are hardly any parking spaces available in the stadium area. Please pay attention to the current restrictions on public transport, as access via the tram line "Altstadt Köpenick" is only possible with replacement bus services.

The security measures for Weihnachtssingen meet the same high standards as on match days. All guests are  therefore advised to allow sufficient time for the admission checks.

The Stadion opens at 17:00. Please pay attention to the instructions of the stewards in the vicinity of the Stadion. The site plan, which can also be found on the admission ticket, serves as a guide on site.

The following areas of the Stadion are accessible:

  • Main stand (Sector 1), Waldseite (Sector 2), opposite stand (Sector 3), Wuhleseite (Sectors 4 & 5), and the pitch.
  • Thepitch and the seating area Sector 1 are exclusively accessible through the entrances on the left (A) and right (B) of the main stand. Guests with tickets for Sectors 3, 4 & 5 are requested to please use the entrances on the Wuhleseite if possible (ticket areas III & IV).
  • The standing areas in Sectors 2, 3, 4, and 5 are accessible from all entrances via the surrounding path behind the standing sections.

To avoid delays at the access controls, all visitors are asked to arrive on time and not to bring larger bags (larger than A4) or luggage.

The stadium rules apply:

  • Bulky items (such as strollers, folding stools, etc.), glass bottles, and thermos flasks are not allowed in the stadium.
  • Contrary to the usual stadium rules, recording devices and cameras are permitted.

In the stadium

  • Candles and songbooks are available free of charge at all direct entrances to the stadium areas.
  • All catering stations are open. At the grills and drink stands, payment can be made in cash, by debit or credit card, or mobile via smartphone.
  • Union fan merchandise is available at the Union-Zeughaus Waldseite as well as the sales stands Hämmerlingeck and Bierkasse. There will also be two sales stands along the opposite stand in the interior.
