Jenny Hipp and Marvin Bellin Leave Union

Midfielder Jenny Hipp and Scout Marvin Bellin are leaving 1. FC Union Berlin. Both were big contributors to the success of the women's first team.

A joyous equaliser against Eintracht – Hipp's chapter in Berlin comes to an end

Jenny Hipp joined 1. FC Union Berlin last summer with 39 Bundesliga matches already under her belt, quickly becoming a valuable option in midfield. She scored her first goal in the very last match of the first half of the season, when her 89th minute penalty against Eintracht Frankfurt to make it 2-2 sendt the Stadion An der Alten Försterei into a frenzy.

In the second half of the season, the 28-year-old was successful aonce again against one of the league's biggest sides, when put Union 3-1 up against VfL Wolfsburg. Overall, Hipp played 16 times for 1. FC Union Berlin.

Two promotions and numerous transfers – Marvin Bellin leaves the Eisernen

Marvin Bellin initially joined Union's women's team during the 2022/23 season s an assistant coach but soon found a new role as a scout and squad planner alongside managing director Jennifer Zietz. In these roles, he was involved in Union's transfer business, and thus played an important part in the journey from the Regionalliga Nordost to the Bundesliga.

After three and a half years, two promotions, and a first Bundesliga season, his time in Berlin-Köpenick has now come to an end.

Katja Orschmann in talks with other clubs

Katja Orschmann's time at the club may also come to an end this summer. The 28-year-old defender, who has experienced several iconic and successful phases at Union, has currently no prospect of playing time with the first team next season and is currently available for talks with other clubs. Last season, she played in 14 Bundesliga matches.
