Union's 60th Birthday Party
Information About the Big Celebration
On the occasion of their 60th birthday, 1. FC Union Berlin have invited their members to a celebration at the Alte Försterei tomorrow evening.
Construction work for the festival tent has been in full swing for the last week, with a winter landscape with food and drink stalls is being created in front of the main stand alongside. All the important information for 1. FC Union Berlin club members wishing to attend regarding the course of the evening iis summarised below:
Arrival, admission
All Union members are requested to refrain from arriving by car, as there are no parking spaces available on site. The car park in front of the main stand is closed - bicycle racks are, however, available. Please note that a rail replacement service is being offered on the tram line “Altstadt Köpenick”.
Access to the grounds is possible from 17:30. All club members are asked to have their membership card ready, either digitally in the Union app or the crediit card style analog format. Please note that access is only available via the street, An der Wuhlheide. Unfortunately, the entrance on the Waldseite (ticket area 1) is not available.
The festival tent accommodates 4,000 guests. Those who cannot find a place inside can watch the ceremony live on the 6 x 3.50 meter large LED screen in front of the main stand.
Procedure
The ceremony starts at 19:00. The approximately two and a half hours long program offers a look at the club's history and current events as well as the presentation of the legends' eleven from 60 years of Union.
The festival grounds will close at 23:00.
Catering, Cloakroom, Toilets
At the area in front of the main grandstand, drinks and snack stalls are ready, which will open at 17:30. Drinks and food may not be taken into the festival tent.
At the festival tent, coats can be left for free. The stadium regulations apply.
The toilets in the beer garden on the Waldseite are open, and additionally, there are WCs available next to the festival tent.
Accessibility
Access to the grounds and festival tent are barrier-free. There will be a limited number of wheelchair spaces in the tent. There are also seats reserved for deaf people. The ceremony will be translated by sign language interpreters.
For people with disabilities, accessible toilets are available in the beer garden on the forest side, in the container at the media station, and next to the festival tent.
Please note, disabled parking spaces are available in limited numbers (10) only at the parking lot at the Fanhaus (Lindenstraße 18-19), as the parking lot in front of the main stand is closed. Requirement: official parking permit
Zeughaus
The Zeughaus Waldseite opens on Tuesday as usual at 11:00 and remains open until the end of the event.
Membership card in the Union app
The Union App is available for Android and iOS. In addition to the option to use digital tickets, Union members with an activated Zeughaus account can also find their membership card here. Simply install the app and enter the login details for the Union Zeughaus under "My Account". After successful login, the membership card will be displayed in the account.
