Injured with the national team:
Hannah Eurlings will be absent from Unions womens team for a long time
The women’s team of 1. FC Union Berlin will have to wait longer for the services of newcomer Hannah Eurlings. The 22-year-old forward returned injured from the UEFA Women’s Euro, where she played for the Belgian national team and scored a goal. The injury she sustained there will require long-term rehabilitation.
“It is extremely unfortunate for Hannah and for us that this situation has occurred. We will carefully examine the circumstances that led to this injury and then decide how to proceed. Hannah will receive the best possible support from us to recover and return to the football pitch,” said Jennifer Zietz, managing director of women’s professional football at 1. FC Union Berlin.
