From Bergamo to Middlesbrough to Berlin

Emmanuel Latte Lath was born on 01.01.1999 in Abidjan and joined the youth academy of Atalanta Bergamo as a youth player. There, he quickly made a name for himself with his goal-scoring ability and worked his way up through the youth teams to the professional level. He made his competitive debut for the first team of Atalanta in August 2016 in the Coppa Italia, and a few months later, he scored his first goal at the professional level in the cup competition against Juventus Turin.

In the following years, the fast striker gained important experience through several loan spells in Italian football. Latte Lath made his breakthrough in the 2022/23 season with Swiss top-flight club FC St. Gallen. With 14 goals in 31 league matches, he was one of the most prolific scorers in the Super League and drew attention across Europe.

In the summer of 2023, he transferred to the English traditional club Middlesbrough FC. There, the 1.76 m tall striker quickly became a key player and top scorer for the team. In one and a half years, he scored 29 competitive goals in 67 matches and established himself in the EFL Championship, particularly due to his speed, deep runs, and consistent drive towards the goal. In early 2025, he moved to Major League Soccer to join Atlanta United FC, where he accumulated 15 goal contributions in 48 matches. He also made his debut for the national team of Côte d'Ivoire in 2024 and has since made four appearances for "Les Éléphants".

• Latte Lath was born in Abidjan. The Ivorian metropolis is also home to one of Africa's most successful strikers, Didier Drogba.

• His career has taken the right-footed player through four countries. Accordingly, the striker speaks four languages fluently: English, Italian, French, and Spanish. He has also already mastered some basic German words.

• Latte Lath is already familiar with the Alte Försterei: In the summer of 2023, he played the full 90 minutes in a friendly match against Union with Atalanta Bergamo.
