David Preu Joins Stuttgart's U-21s
1. FC Union Berlin and VfB Stuttgart have agreed on a transfer for David Preu. The 21-year-old attacking all-rounder, who has made five Bundesliga appearances so far, is moving to the third division to the Swabians' U-21s.
A new chapter following joint development
Preu has been a part of the Union academy since 2019 and made his Bundesliga debut in the 2024/25 season against Bayer Leverkusen. After joining from Viktoria Berlin’s youth ranks, he progressed through all of Union’s youth teams, catching the eye with his pace, understanding of the game and willingness to learn.
The attacking player had already gained extensive match experience with VfR Aalen during the 2023/24 season. In 34 competitive matches there, he played a key role in winning the Württembergischen Landespokal. His permanent move to VfB Stuttgart II now marks the next step in his sporting development, with the prospect of playing a key role for the 3. Liga side.
