A sea of lights:

Christmas singing at the Alte Försterei

On the evening before Christmas Eve, the Stadion An der Alten Försterei once again became a place of warmth and community.

Starting from 17:00, the Eisernen brass players filled the air with festive sounds, accompanied by the men's choir Eintracht Mahlsdorf, which carried the first voices into the night. Anticipation grew as 28,500 Unioner took their places.

Shortly after 19:00, the floodlights went out and thousands of candles shone in the darkness. The choir of the Emmy-Noether-Gymnasium opened the official part, starting the first Christmas songs, and again and again, traditional union songs resounded from the stands. Familiar Christmas melodies were also performed by the Heinrich family on clarinet, trombone, and trumpet, before Pastor Erich Kastner read the Christmas story - a moment of reflection that cast the stadium in awe-inspiring silence. Santa Claus also made an appearance and took the people in the stadium on a little red-and-white time travel, before the evening concluded with "Wir sind Union" by Krispin echoing through the living room of the Unioner, uniting everyone once more into a single, mighty chorus.

Standing together in good times and bad, the Weihnachtssingen of 1. FC Union Berlin brings the Union family together once again and lets them head home with a cozy feeling - Christmas begins in Köpenick, in the Stadion An der Alten Försterei.

Merry Christmas, Unioner. Eisern.
