Hoffenheim Visit the TZO.

A-Jugend Host TSG

1. FC Union Berlin's U19s side will host TSG Hoffenheim on Saturday. Kick off at the Oberspree Training-Zentrum (TZO) is at 11:00.

The Opponents

The Kraichgauer side had a strong preliminary round, losing only one of twelve matches. As a result, TSG finished at the top of the table with 27 points. The Hoffenheim team also had the best attack in the league with 39 goals scored.

At the start of the main round, Hoffenheim, unbeaten at that point since mid-August in the league, played against FSV Mainz 05. They lost, however, 3-2, marking the first defeat in a long time, aside from a 5-1 loss in the DFB Pokal against VfL Wolfsburg.

The head to head

The two U19 teams have already met in the first round of the DFB Pokal, when Hoffenheim visited Berlin-Köpenick. In the end, the guests won 3-2 at the Stadion An der Wuhlheide and advanced to the next round.

The views ahead of the match

“We can’t wait to finally play a competitive game at home,” said Marie-Louise Eta, head coach of the U19s, during mid-week. “We want to bring the joy of playing, and the confidence in our own strengths into the game and secure the next points.”
